Resolutions

Happy New Year!

First we have a bit of unfinished business. Congratulations to Pamela Boatright. Pamela is the winner of the latest Let's Get Quilting Giveaway. For everyone else come right back in the New Year. We will host Let's Get Quilting again in January.

Resolutions. Do you make them? What do you want to do better in terms of quilting and sewing? Do you have a "word" of the year? We always aim to work harder and better at producing things that inspire you!

Are you looking to learn a new technique? We love Kim Diehl's invisible machine applique technique.  In case you missed it, Kim Diehl shared her technique and inspiration at Quilt Market. Perhaps you could try it!

We can't wait to hear what you resolve to do in 2016!

For the release of this collection, Kim has designed a special project, Snowball Basket. This lovely quilt features a simple but gorgeous applique center surrounded by easy patchwork. You can download it for free here.

Kim teaches her special applique worldwide and freezer paper plays a big part of the process. Do you use freezer paper when you applique but find that the paper you buy in the grocery store curls or doesn't tear off the rolls smoothly? Kim teamed up with Martingale & Co. to bring you Kim Diehl's Best Applique Freezer Paper - convenient 8 1/2" x 11" sheets of freezer paper that you can draw on or even print on your inkjet printer.

With the 30-sheet set, you can download the pattern for this sweet quilt, Folk-Art Dish Garden for free following the directions located in the package of freezer paper.
