My sister will be celebrating her 65 birthday in August. When she was visiting me last year, she picked out the quilt that she wanted me to make. I have the fabric and pattern. Instead of procrastinating about it, I need to get busy and make it.

I plan to re-visit dress making this year. And, I have a few quilts on my agenda also.

Since I am recovering from a broken hip (fall this winter), I have decided that it will be a year of small projects. I like to contribute children's quilts to Hand2Help and 100 Quilts for Kids charity so there will be a few small quilts. And the Get Your Mrs. Claus On is a charity for childrens' toys (make doll quilts for the beds and cradles) for disbursement to children's hospitals at Christmas time.

My big project of the year is to finish hand quilting a full size quilt I started in 2005. It was a BOM and I got stuck on the August block, so I put it aside for a year or two. When I finished it, I decided to hand quilt it and have been doing a little every winter since then. Just have a couple more blocks to do and then the borders and it will be done! It has been nick-named the never ending project.... :)
