Heather Mulder Peterson's Virtual Baby Shower

Heather Mulder Peterson and her husband, Joel, are expecting their first baby any day now! We are so excited for them. She looks gorgeous, doesn't she? We thought that we'd have a bit of fun but more on that later.

She's recently published a book for kids and we can't say how adorable it is enough times! We'll be showing off some more of the projects in a later post.

The sample yardage of her latest line, Seaside Cottage, is on its way to Minnesota as we speak! We can't wait to see what Heather makes with this yardage! We'll keep you posted on that!

Here's where the fun for you begins! Answer these questions here or on Facebook and two lucky winners will be chosen randomly for a prize of a copy of the book and some fat quarters of Seaside Cottage. Are you ready?

1. Guess the weight of the baby.
2. Guess the date of birth of the baby.
3. Give Heather and Joel some advice or recommendations on baby products.

The contest will run until next Friday, June 15 at 4 p.m. Good luck!

Come back on Friday for some more fun! Some of our Henry Glass designers will have their answers and advice!

Congratulations, Heather and Joel! We can't wait to meet the new baby!

Weight: 7 lbs 6 oz
Date: June 17th
Advice: I do not currently have children so I do not have much to offer other than from babysitting my niece and nephew who are always on the go. So I would say that when they are sleeping, you should be sleeping as well!

Congratulations!

As for the advice, accept it all, but I guess follow the advice of someone you trust and feel comfortable with.
Can't wait to see pics of your gorgeous little man. Best wishes.

Enjoy cuddling, rocking, and just holding. It goes by so fast!

I know I'm past the deadline to win but did want to pass on a teensy bit of advice....
My MIL gave me this advice after I had our first child....she said to not stress over the house because there will be a day when that is all you will have to do during your day...clean your house (once they are grown and gone.) Of course, none of us want a filthy house for our little one, but just keep the main germ collectors cleaned - the kitchen counter, toilet, bathtub, and bathroom counter. The world won't end if the laundry isn't folded, etc.

Also, a big one would be to not rock him to sleep. Let him learn to fall asleep by himself in his crib, bassinet,or whatever. At first that is hard because they eat and sleep, but keep it in mind as the days and weeks progress. The best thing I ever did with my second and third children!

Will be praying for you!
