Let's Get Quilting - February 22, 2015 Edition

We continue our to hope for warmer weather here in NYC. We'll do that by showing happy bright colors and we'll throw in a few critters from the land down under for good measure. Mommy & Me is the the fabric that we are giving away this week for the Let's Get Quilting event.

Heritage Hollow Tutorial

Our friends, Missouri Star Quilt Co. just posted a great tutorial featuring the Heritage Hollow collection by Kim Diehl. This collection is available now in your local quilt shops.

The design is based on the bear paw block and is sewn together to form a lovely quilt. There is a lot of detail to making this quilt but the results are spectacular. Jenny Doan walks you through the instructions step by step and makes it look easy! If you make this quilt from Henry Glass fabric, send us a photograph of it. We'd love to see your version.

Butterfly Kisses

Here in the NYC area we are anxiously awaiting spring. We've had a few storms lately and that makes us long for warmer temperatures. We love the bright colors of spring too and what better collection to get us into a happy mood than Butterfly Kisses by Fresh Designs?

We eagerly look forward to hearing about arrival of the collection at your local quilt shop this month.

About A Boy ... About A Girl ...

We just received an e-mail from Lea Anne Brummet [Podunk Pretties blog] and we were so excited to see the photographs. She won one of the giveaways when we were hosting our book tour for A Flair For Fabric.

Lea Anne won a bundle of About A Boy ... About A Girl ... by Anni Downs and made a gorgeous quilt out of the fabric. 

The quilt is so sweet but she went one step further and blew up the bicycle image to make an applique template.
