We hope that you had a great weekend. June's Desire To Inspire challenger will be presented tomorrow because we didn't want her beautiful project to be lost in the holiday week.

For today, we are ready to roll with another Let's Get Quilting. Last week's winner is Joyce Mitchell. Congratulations!

We're trying to inspire you to think "Christmas!" This giveaway has been perfectly timed to the Desire To Inspire project. You'll have to come back to check it out tomorrow.

We spent the 4th and my son's in-laws' place -- lots of great company and a great dinner followed by super fun fireworks.

Thanks for the giveaway! For the holiday weekend, my husband and I and our middle daughter did some research into the family history by visiting the small town where my great-grandparents lived and then we went to another small town near by for their fireworks display.

I helped my daughter with her house warming party. I made her a quilted flag wall hanging, a welcome wall hanging, casserole carrier, and an octagon table topper. Of course I baked peanut butter cookies, brownies, snickerdoodles, and chocolate chip. Of course you can't just eat cookies so I made a crab spread and artichoke dip. Last but not least I made a cookie sheet cookie frosted with cream chees mixture and made a flag on top with blackberries, strawberries and bananas.

For the holiday weekend, I worked on sewing shorts for my grandson and added more fabric to my sewing stash.

I took my 2 elderly (83+) uncles away for weekend and they had a fantastic time fishing! They haven't done it for years, they were the most excited big kids I have ever seen!

Our air conditioner died so we were roasting in the heat. Still had time to sew, though.

Had family visiting, watched the parade, family cookout, when to bed but when fireworks started going off just up the street we all got up and watched the display from our deck. Fun.
