Quilt Market! We Loved Our Booth!

We didn't forget about our booth! I had to recover a couple of these photos because they needed rescuing! First, we could not have pulled off the show without these awesome ladies, from left, Karen Junquet, Harriet Clemons and Lisa Loessel. Thank you!

We need to thank Jean Ann Sharrai too! She was responsible for the booth samples. Beautiful job!

The booth was colorful and each of the lines were represented with its own individual small quilt. Below, we have Larry Reichenberg, head of Henry Glass, working with our customers. Do you see Lucy Morey's fabulous Sunset Beach collection in the foreground? It's a great summertime line.

Here's a close up of the line again.

We had a great time in Kansas City and at Quilt Market! Come back soon for some more photos!

Welcome, Linen Closet Quilts

We welcome Dawn Heese as a new designer to the Henry Glass family! Her quilts are so lovely and she showed them off well at Quilt Market. You can see her first fabric line, Best Wishes here on our website. Very pretty, don't you think?

Every little corner you'd look would bring another wonderful surprise.

Eric did a great job of building the booth! We loved the brick wall which gave the booth a comfortable and welcoming feeling.

The details of the quilts added a lot to the already beautiful designs!

Her new book, A Year of Cozy Comforts, is gorgeous too. Run out and buy a copy. You won't be disappointed!

Thanks, Dawn. Lovely booth and welcome aboard!

Beyond The Gate

Jill Finley of Jillily Studios always has a very fun booth! She puts in a lot of thought and whimsy into the look of her spot at Quilt Market! We love the garden furniture!

We loved how she used her designs and incorporated them into decorating her booth. Check out these adorable birdhouses!

The tree and the iron gates were so fun! Have you ever tried her Poke-A-Dots? If you love applique or any other handwork, then you need to try them out!

You also need to read her blog where she describes the experience of taking care of that real [yes, that was real] sod that covered the floor of her booth. Here's a look at her Beyond the Gate color card for the fabric line.

This quilt is so pretty with its soft blue colors. The quilt below has a lovely and warm look about it.

Thanks for a peek at your booth, Jill!

The Noble Wife

Jacquelynne Steves of The Noble Wife had two lovely Schoolhouse sessions this time around. She was there promoting all of her latest fabrics. The pears are a favorite around here. You can keep up with her latest lines here.

She showed us some lovely quilts.

The greatest announcement was her collaboration with Quilts For Kids. Jacquelynne is shown here with Linda Arye, founder of Quilts For Kids. Jacquelynne has designed an adorable fabric line called Happy Town and she is donating all of her royalties to Linda's charity. In addition, Henry Glass is making a donation to Quilts For Kids as well. More details to come.

Here's Linda speaking about the collaboration below.

We'll have more about the collaboration in an interview soon.

Bananafana!

These two little girls are Jess Goldman's darlings. Jess is the lovely designer behind Bananafana Designs. She loves colors, she loves fun designs and it shows! Jess started out with her Schoolhouse and wowed everyone with her adorable designs. She showed off her fun fabric line, Polka Perch, and her new patterns.

Then we caught up with her at her fun booth. We love all of these colors!

Her purse is to die for!

Thanks, Jess, for an inspiring look at you and your designs!

Cruzin'

We are back from Quilt Market and it was so much fun! Thank you to all who came to buy or to visit with us! We appreciate seeing you!

Our head of sales, Larry Reichenberg, managed to have a bit of fun around the Henry Glass booth. Barbara Jones of QuiltSoup was having a giveaway at her booth and this lovely bike was the prize!

Great seeing Barbara and all of her wonderful new designs!

We took a look around Barbara's adorable booth! We noticed the cover of her upcoming book with Martingale & Co. Congratulations!

This quilt is so lovely and although the colors are softer, the whimsy of Barbara's vision still shines through!

This is definitely the bright side of her booth. Remember that pumpkin sneak peek earlier? Well, here's the finished product. Love it! She used her Frank-n-Friends line.

The following photo brings us back to the reason that she has a bicycle in her booth. Her latest release is Cruzin' and it is so very fun!

Visitors had a chance to win this bike!

We're happy to announce that the winner of the bike is Susan Horton of Prairie Pieces Quilt Shop, Emporia, KS.

Thanks for the peek into your booth, Barbara!

The Rush

If you are standing near a designer in the week before a big show, chances are you will be pulled in to give a hand. Delphine Cubitt received some of her Story Time Rhymes fabric and she started preparing for the Surtex show in New York. As you can see, her Mom was apparently in close proximity and hence, she was put to work! Good luck, Delphine! We'll miss you at Quilt Market but we are sure that you'll have a great show in New York!

Very cute panels and other projects. We hope that Delphine has a great show!

The rest of us are headed to Kansas City in the next day or two. See you soon! Visit us here and on Facebook for updates!

Guest Designer: Jana Nielson

I've been keeping things quiet for so long that I almost feel like I'm going to explode! Really ... I've been under a lot of pressure trying to keep things secret!

I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Jana Nielson and I design children's clothing patterns as Izzy & Ivy Designs. I am also getting ready to introduce my first line of fabric at Quilt Market next week! I still can't show it to you yet but I can tell you that it is called Delicious Wishes and I have a few sneak peeks of it in this post.

Market will be extra exciting because Izzy & Ivy is releasing two new booklets of patterns for cutie girls ...

... and we are finally going to introduce everyone to Izzy & Ivy's little brother, Muddy Max Designs for BOYS!

Phew! I feel so much better now that I finally got all of that out in the open!

Oh yea ... and if you are coming to Quilt Market, come and see us at Schoolhouse and stop by our booth too! We're at #411, 13

xo, Jana

HG: Thanks for a great sneak peek at your new designs! We look forward to seeing you next week!

QuiltSoup's Teeny Tiny Peek!

Barbara Jones of QuiltSoup is giving us a tiny peek at a new pattern using her fun new Frank-n-Friends collection. The fabrics are scheduled to arrive at your local quilt shop this month so get out there and camp out at your local quilt shop, uh, we mean wait for the fabric to hit the shelves. This pattern will be versatile. It's going to be a placemat or table runner and will debut in Kansas City next week! We can't wait to see the whole design put together!

Buggy Barn Girls Are Undeniably Crazy

Janet Nesbitt and Pam Soliday, aka, The Buggy Barn, have been very busy but we managed to get a sneak peek at their new book, Undeniably Crazy. We think that it is undeniably adorable, what do you think? The book will be delivered next week and we can't wait to see it!

The cover quilt was designed with their new line "Wingin' It" and the line will be premiered at Market.
The Buggy Barn's Basic Blacks and Yarn Dye Basics are used in the project, "Heavenly Days" and the Flannel Essentials VI are used for "Pumpkins on the Vine."

We can't wait to see everything in KC!

p.s. A couple of notes:
1.  Remember to enter our giveaway from Jacquelynne's post here.
2. Keep this invite handy if you're going to Schoolhouse in KC. Our HG designers will be putting on a great Schoolhouse. You won't want to miss it!
