Snowball Blossoms by Kim Diehl
Kim teaches her special applique worldwide and freezer paper plays a big part of the process. Do you use freezer paper when you applique but find that the paper you buy in the grocery store curls or doesn't tear off the rolls smoothly? Kim teamed up with Martingale & Co. to bring you Kim Diehl's Best Applique Freezer Paper - convenient 8 1/2" x 11" sheets of freezer paper that you can draw on or even print on your inkjet printer.
With the 30-sheet set, you can download the pattern for this sweet quilt, Folk-Art Dish Garden for free following the directions located in the package of freezer paper.

I am relatively new to applique, but have completed several small projects & it would be wonderful to win the bundle by Kim & the freezer papers. That would be a great help with new applique projects. Thanks for the possibility to win!
I love hand applique quilts and I have to improve mine.
I love how when adding each piece the design lite really grows in front of you almost out of your fingers. Kinda magical!
I adore Kim's easy-to-follow way to appliqué. Just bought her latest book, and can't wait to get my hands on her new line of fabric!

The thing I love about appliqué is that anything is possible - no shape gets left behind. I've always loved Kim's style and I have many of her books. Thanks for the opportunity to win some of her fabrics. Cheers
I just love the shapes and textures you can get with applique
I love applique although it scares me. And what is not to like about Kim Diehl. I love her patters and her fabrics. Thank you for the free pattern and the chance to win!
I love the extra bit of dimension and the lovely stitching on the edge. (I always blanket stitch my applique)
I love the interest it adds to quilts
I don't do much applique, but I love that you can do shapes that are impossible in patchwork or foundation piecing. That fabric, by the way, is beautiful. Your freezer paper is a great idea.

Applique is so beautiful and sometimes what makes the quilt! kaymcallister21@yahoo.com
I love to appliqué, and I love the folk art- primitive look to appliqué, whether by hand or machine stitched.
I love the smooth lines and the curves of applique. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the drawing. I love this fabric.
I have not always been a fan of applique, but once I tried the freezer paper method, I think it is a lot easier than it used to be!
Hi There,

I'm working on my first appliqué wall quilt. I found a pattern, but I'm making it my own now. It's a fun learning curve to do this. Thanks for the giveaway!

Applique is relaxing to do. It is easy to transport. It makes a beautiful highlight accent to a quilt.
Applique gives such a realistic look to a quilt design--have several of Kim's books--beautiful quilts!

I haven't tried applique yet, but it looks so nice on a quilt or tote. It seems to add a bit of texture and interest. :)
I love flowers so a lot of times appliques are floral, so I really like that aspect.
I only really applique with felt as there's no raw edge/fraying to worry about. I have done needle turn applique and lost the will to live. I would love to find out more about the freezer paper technique as I do like the end result of applique.
I love to create a quilt with unique designs using various scraps of fabric.

I love the punch that applique can give a pieced quilt, especially on solid borders.
Applique adds a little interest to any quilt.
Applique adds interest & gives quilts a unique look.
I made Prairie Star Posies out of Kim Diehl and Laurie Baker’s book Homestyle Quilts. I used heat and bond technique rather than freezer paper. I would love to try freezer paper technique with that adorable pattern!! Love all of Kim’s patterns!!!
What's not to love about applique, it makes every quilt shine, whether just a little or a lot. Kim has a nice touch with her projects. Can't wait to try out her freezer paper sheets.
Thanks a bunch.
I love the peaceful quiet of hand appliqué. It is a good time to think.
I love applique because you make make a pattern unique, tell a story, add to the depth, etc
I am a fan of Kim Diehl's books, fabric....so talented!! I am very slow at applique and still learning. Love to win!!

Adding applique to a nicely pieced quilt turns it into an awesome quilt. It might look fine without the applique, but with the applique the quilt is taken to a whole new level. Applique is also a good way to cover up not-so-precisely pieced sections, assuming you're clever enough to come up with a design that will work without being obvious that it's being used to disguise a mistake.
I love appliqué. It is what I turn to when life is hectic and I need to relax. It keeps the blood pressure down. Kim's new freezer paper sheets sounds like what I need as I travel a lot and appliqué always goes with me.
Applique adds another dimention to quilts. I love the look but still learning
I would love to win Kim's new line of fabrics!!
I am fairly new to applique, but so far my fave has been reverse applique. It amazes me as I cut the layers out and the design appears. And I love playing with all the decorative stitches that give each project it's own unique look.
I like the variety that applique adds to a quilt.
I love the look and detail appliqué gives quilts. It's worth the extra time!
