Let's Get Quilting - Gemstone Batiks (Reds) 13 pc bundle
This week's giveaway prize is going to having you seeing RED! This 13 pc. bundle will have some of these wonderful Gemstone batiks from Henry Glass. Your next quilt is practically done if you win this bundle!
Oh how pretty! I see Jean has commented (first comment). She would do well with these lovely batiks, with one of her lovely quilts (maybe orange peal style).
No, at least not a quilting fabric collection. It takes a while for me to be inspired by fabric; mostly I love looking at it and hate to cut it too soon.
For my sons wedding I made him a civil war quilt with civil war fabrics. I was going to use two fabric collections but I wound up using a bunch of different collections to give it the normal scrappy civil war look.
I have! When Forever Yours by Robyn Pandolph was first out, it was exactly what I needed to make the chair and table coverings for a friend's garden wedding. She fell in love with the fabric and after the wedding I made a bed quilt for the couple. They still use and have the quilt and the fabric line's name was even used in their personalized vows. :-)
No wedding inspirations from fabric collections, but I sure do get inspired for baby and toddler quilts with your fabrics! That's usually the next step for quilt making after the wedding, teehee.
Love these red fabrics. I've often seen a collection and "knew" exactly what I had to make with it. Have not really had a wedding quilt to make so perhaps that thought has not been in my mind.
I think if it were my own wedding, I would be inspired by Peaceful Meadow. The colors are so soft and pretty. Love the reds for something else, though!
No I have not been so inspired by fabric that I knew it'd be perfect for a wedding. I am new to sewing and quilting so I've only saw a few fabrics thus far! The fabric bundle is beautiful!! Good luck everyone in the giveaway! angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom
I have to confess I have not, but I have seen many of your fabrics that it could be a definite possibility. Like the Peaceful Garden line by Mary Jane Carey.
I love batiks and many of them would be perfect for accents. I tried to sew my wedding gown and it was a disaster. I was only 19 and thought I could sew anything, lol. :) craftyccain@gmail.com
I don't think I have ever looked at a piece of fabric and thought wedding. But I have thought as a particular couple for a wedding gift. This is a gorgeous bundle, but not speaking to me at this moment. But I would love to have it in my stash until it did.
This would be perfect for a special person I know!! Making a memory quilt and these are her favorite colors! Awesome Fabric!! lstangl482 at aol dot com
I have! I saw a bundle of red, gray and white fabrics that had a silver overlay on them an knew they would be wonderful in a wedding quilt for my husband's niece!
I've never been inspired to quilt or sew for a wedding, but several fabric lines have been just perfect for certain brides & grooms as their wedding quilts, which usually arrive long after the wedding if I am the quiltmaker.
fabrics have certainly inspired me to create projects but not necessarily a wedding project. however, today is my birthday...i am sure i could come up with a nice little something for myself with these beautiful fabrics :) thanks for the great give-a-way. janet jecagain@gmail.com
So pretty! I've been inspired by fabric for a wedding gift, but haven't made anything yet, because there hasn't been a wedding! Thanks for the pretty fabric and chances to win.
Not for a wedding, but for a special girl's graduation. Red is my favorite color and I would love to win this lovely bundle! Thanks for the opportunity.
I saw a Hawaiian print once that I thought would be perfect for a beach wedding. I don't think the weddings today are like they were when I got married. The roses, etc are out.
I haven't seen any fabric that inspired me for a wedding. I am probably too old fashion to think of using any fabric in a quilt store for a wedding unless it was a wedding quilt.
Although I have made many quilts as wedding gifts, I haven't really thought about colors and fabrics to use in a wedding. When I make a wedding quilt I check out the wedding registry and find colors that will work with the new couple's decor so the quilt will be something they can use.
Love that, "practically finished" hahaha, I have actually been inspired by a line for a wedding quilt. Gorgeous lilac batiks they are, and they are still in the "practically finished" phase , ahahaha!
If I am sewing for a wedding, I am usually sewing someone else's ideas. I have seen certain lines and known they would be perfect for a wedding quilt for a specific couple. Thanks.
I haven't ever sewn for a wedding specifically. I make quilts for wedding presents, but then I'm inspired by what the people like, not a "wedding" theme.
Gorgeous collection.Yes I do.Before I stating to make quilting I sew my clothes and especially my clothes for special occasions, weddings, baptism, communions, our party with family and friends to New Year's Eve...
Most collections that I adore are not wedding worthy but every once in a while something charming comes along (usually pink florals of some sort) that shouts "make me for a wedding!"
I saw a beautiful rose colored brocade fabric woven with gold thread that was simply gorgeous. I bought some and had a suit made from it to wear to my brother's wedding. I walked in place of my mother for his wedding. It was a dress and night to remember.
Strange question - I have never looked at a fabric bundle and considered it to be "IN" a wedding. I have made many wedding gift quilts and for that purpose - absolutely!
Most collections inspire me to make quilts for my family. Haven't been inspired to sew anything for a wedding. Years ago I used to do stained glass items for wedding gifts. -- soparkaveataoldotcom
For a wedding quilt, yes! But also yes to fabric inspiration for bridesmaid dresses and even my own wedding dress, all of which I made for my wedding, and then four years later, bridesmaid dresses for my sister's wedding.

Love these red fabrics. I've often seen a collection and "knew" exactly what I had to make with it. Have not really had a wedding quilt to make so perhaps that thought has not been in my mind.
Not necessarily for a wedding quilt but maybe a particular pattern. These are stunning colors. Thanks for the giveaway. grinnie1961 at gmail dot com
I've never been inspired to sew for a wedding, much less sewed for a wedding without inspiration!
For a wedding quilt the fabrics would have to be white on white, antique white, pure white etc...
I think if it were my own wedding, I would be inspired by Peaceful Meadow. The colors are so soft and pretty. Love the reds for something else, though!
