Oh how pretty! I see Jean has commented (first comment). She would do well with these lovely batiks, with one of her lovely quilts (maybe orange peal style).

DebrafromMD said...

No I haven't, but some collections just beg to be made into certain patterns.

Joanna said...

No, at least not a quilting fabric collection. It takes a while for me to be inspired by fabric; mostly I love looking at it and hate to cut it too soon.

Joyce Carter said...

Not for a wedding, but I have been inspired to make other things with a fabric collection.

Renea said...

Not for a wedding but have had that inspiration hit for baby quilts. Thanks for the beautiful fabric giveaway.

Lori said...

For my sons wedding I made him a civil war quilt with civil war fabrics. I was going to use two fabric collections but I wound up using a bunch of different collections to give it the normal scrappy civil war look.

No I haven't yet.

I have! When Forever Yours by Robyn Pandolph was first out, it was exactly what I needed to make the chair and table coverings for a friend's garden wedding. She fell in love with the fabric and after the wedding I made a bed quilt for the couple. They still use and have the quilt and the fabric line's name was even used in their personalized vows. :-)

Barb Neiwert said...

No wedding inspirations from fabric collections, but I sure do get inspired for baby and toddler quilts with your fabrics! That's usually the next step for quilt making after the wedding, teehee.

I haven't been inspired for a wedding with a bundle of fabrics but maybe I haven't just seen the right bundle yet!

Love these red fabrics. I've often seen a collection and "knew" exactly what I had to make with it. Have not really had a wedding quilt to make so perhaps that thought has not been in my mind.

Linda Williamson said...

Not necessarily for a wedding quilt but maybe a particular pattern. These are stunning colors. Thanks for the giveaway. grinnie1961 at gmail dot com

Nancy said...

I've never been inspired to sew for a wedding, much less sewed for a wedding without inspiration!

Janie said...

For a wedding quilt the fabrics would have to be white on white, antique white, pure white etc...

Lin said...

I think if it were my own wedding, I would be inspired by Peaceful Meadow. The colors are so soft and pretty. Love the reds for something else, though!

Angie&Gary Short said...

No I have not been so inspired by fabric that I knew it'd be perfect for a wedding. I am new to sewing and quilting so I've only saw a few fabrics thus far! The fabric bundle is beautiful!! Good luck everyone in the giveaway! angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom

genofwa said...

I have to confess I have not, but I have seen many of your fabrics that it could be a definite possibility. Like the Peaceful Garden line by Mary Jane Carey.

Connie Cain said...

I love batiks and many of them would be perfect for accents. I tried to sew my wedding gown and it was a disaster. I was only 19 and thought I could sew anything, lol. :)

I've never been inspired to quilt or sew for a wedding, but several fabric lines have been just perfect for certain brides & grooms as their wedding quilts, which usually arrive long after the wedding if I am the quiltmaker.

Judi Duncan said...

No, I have never thought of sewing anything for a wedding...not sure I could take that much pressure!

GranChris said...

I saw a Hawaiian print once that I thought would be perfect for a beach wedding. I don't think the weddings today are like they were when I got married. The roses, etc are out.

Cathie said...

I haven't seen any fabric that inspired me for a wedding. I am probably too old fashion to think of using any fabric in a quilt store for a wedding unless it was a wedding quilt.

Marian Allen said...

I have not had to deal with weddings in a while! I have have seen collections that inspired me to decorate a room

Lisa Marie said...

Although I have made many quilts as wedding gifts, I haven't really thought about colors and fabrics to use in a wedding. When I make a wedding quilt I check out the wedding registry and find colors that will work with the new couple's decor so the quilt will be something they can use.

Susan L. said...

Not for a wedding, but I have been inspiration by lines for other occasions. Thanks for the great giveaway!

Haven't made one for a wedding. I usually just pic and choose fabrics I like not necessarily within a collection.

I don't think of weddings when I look at quilting fabric. I'd have to look at lace, tulle, satin, etc. to think of weddings.

Nothing for a wedding. This is a beautiful collection. 24Tangent@gmail.com

Love that, "practically finished" hahaha, I have actually been inspired by a line for a wedding quilt. Gorgeous lilac batiks they are, and they are still in the "practically finished" phase , ahahaha!

Mom C said...

If I am sewing for a wedding, I am usually sewing someone else's ideas. I have seen certain lines and known they would be perfect for a wedding quilt for a specific couple. Thanks.

Tamara Isaacs-Smith said...

Love the batiks, they are beautiful, want to use in quilt for my daughter's boy friend, no wedding bells...

I haven't ever sewn for a wedding specifically. I make quilts for wedding presents, but then I'm inspired by what the people like, not a "wedding" theme.

Really nice collection! I haven't been to a wedding in a long time. I usually think of weddings when I see satin and lace.

Sewgirl said...

Most collections that I adore are not wedding worthy but every once in a while something charming comes along (usually pink florals of some sort) that shouts "make me for a wedding!"

Havplenty said...

I saw a beautiful rose colored brocade fabric woven with gold thread that was simply gorgeous. I bought some and had a suit made from it to wear to my brother's wedding. I walked in place of my mother for his wedding. It was a dress and night to remember.

Strange question - I have never looked at a fabric bundle and considered it to be "IN" a wedding. I have made many wedding gift quilts and for that purpose - absolutely!

Victoria said...

I'm already collecting warm batiks for a fireworks quilt - these would be a great addition.

Mary Pat Proctor said...

Love the warm and inviting colors!

Most collections inspire me to make quilts for my family. Haven't been inspired to sew anything for a wedding. Years ago I used to do stained glass items for wedding gifts. -- soparkaveataoldotcom
