“Journey to Versailles”, Mary Jane Carey’s latest collection, captures the charm of the Gardens at Versailles.  Romantic flowers, delicate paisley and sweet nosegay designs reminiscent of these day gone by, are colored in a palette of soft sophistication.  These tones of rouge red, café au lait, Khaki and Prussian blue have a dream-like quality.  They mix, match and blend together to create wonderful quilted creations. There are 17 fabrics in the collection and plenty of free projects to get you started.  Go to www.henryglassfabrics.com.  The winner of this week’s contest will be awarded a 12 piece bundle of this rich dreamy fabric.

This is a really beautiful collection!
I have been to Holland. We saw some famous windmills and lots of rivers and water! Unfortunately it wasn't tulip season, I would have loved to see all the flowers.

I have done a lot of traveling in my lifetime. I could list all the countries I have visited, but that would take awhile. Just this year I have traveled to Australia, New Zealand, the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria and Hungary. In October I plan to visit Italy, Spain and Portugal. I love seeing new places.

I've been to Ireland, which was absolutely lovely. I hope to travel to England someday on a family history journey, and to Germany where my best friend from childhood lives. My cousin lives in France, near Lyons, so perhaps a journey to Versailles is in my future. One can always dream, although I am quite a homebody and might be quite satisfied to stay here and read about all the beautiful places, as well--blogs bring them so much closer these days.
