Day 8: Jaftex 85th Anniversary Blog Hop

Welcome to day 8 of the Jaftex 85th Anniversary Blog Hop! Jaftex is the parent company of Henry Glass & Co., Studioe Fabrics and Blank Quilting. We are hosting the blog hop here and will be posting some photographs on the Henry Glass PinterestInstagram and Facebook pages too.

We invited over 30 designers, quilt industry friends and bloggers to help us celebrate. Bundles of Henry Glass' Folio Basics, Studioe's Peppered Cottons or Blank's Fusion Illusion were sent to our friends and we asked them to make something special for our blog hop. They did not disappoint! Each day we will reveal the designs on the designers' blogs  and today we welcome Linda Lum DeBono.

Linda Lum DeBono

Linda is a designer and author in her own right but she also does some marketing work for Henry Glass. She worked in the pharmaceutical industry for many years in Canada before moving to the US. She did not know how to sew or quilt prior to her move but she bought a Janome sewing machine and taught herself how to quilt. Later she designed a BOM quilt for a local quilt shop and attended her first Quilt Market when she was 6 months pregnant. She met the Design Director of Chanteclaire Fabrics at that market and soon started designing fabric. Chanteclaire Fabrics was purchased by Jaftex Corp. and the hence the start of her relationship with Henry Glass & Co.

Linda has written many books for Martingale & Co. and Leisure Arts. Her work has been featured in many publications including American Patchwork & Quilting, Christmas 365 and Sew It All. As the organizer of this blog hop she is relieved that the blog hop is off to a great start and she is looking to do more creative things in the coming weeks.

Here is the list of participants in the blog hop. Check in each day to see the special projects that were designed for the Jaftex 85th Anniversary Blog Hop.
