"Countdown To The Holidays" - December 8, 2014 Edition


We are winding down to the last few "Countdown To The Holidays" events. It as been a lot of fun giving away our fabric. The blog hop is over too but some of the giveaways are still going on. The posts were fun and there were some more interesting fabric tips along the way.

Favorite quilting technique, well I'm not a professional quilter, so I'd say my favorite technique on quilts is applique for some embellishments.

I like all quilting so no favorites. I am a better piecer then free motion quilter for sure. I am not fond of paper piecing. My brain doesn't work that way.

Still kinda new to quilting..learning Hand Applique now...is fun..but I am verrry slooow! lol Have done tiny practice stuff with FMQ..love it...and like doing hand quilting with perle cotton..kinda rustic style?...Am getting ther...but no definited "Only" favorite yet.

I enjoy incorporating several techniques in a quilt, from applique to embroidery to piecing, with the occasional foundation piecing. I hand quilt and free motion quilt, letting each piece speak to me for the best finishing technique.

Right now I'm comfortable with any straight lines, particularly random criss-crosses. I've experimented a little with free-motion, but it I am SO sloppy! Definitely need more practice. :-)
