Buggy Barn Summer

We recently asked the Buggy Barn ladies what they were up to this summer. They've been busy with renovations to their shop but they've also had some fun riding their bikes.

The scenery is beautiful and we love your aqua colored bicycle!

Janet sent along a message:

Here are a couple pics of us riding the Route of the Hiawatha.  I included these because it's a really awesome activity if anyone is anywhere close.  You have to remember, Idaho is only an hour away!  The state took an old railroad line and turned it into a bike trail.  It's 14.4 miles long and the best part is it's all downhill!  But you go through tunnels, the longest is 1.7 miles and across tressels its amazing and the scenery is beautiful.  The pic of my husband Tom, our neighbor Lorri who helps during quilt show and Pam shows one tressel in the background and thats the one where the group photo was taken so you can see the change in elevation.  Have a great summer!  Ours is slipping away: quilt show and harvest are looming!  So there isn't going to be a whole lot a play time left!
Take care!  Janet

We have some of The Buggy Barn's line of Winter Games to give away to one lucky winner. You can check out the rest of the line on our website.

I love the designs and the diamond pattern would be perfect for a pattern I have with stockings on it.

This month I have lots of family events going on. Thanks for sharing the beautiful scenery on your bike ride. We spent time in Kellogg, Idaho one year and rode a gondola to the top of the mountain and saw the same kind of amazing view.

Well, nothing much. We usually take a family vacation in October when the weather is cooler, so our summers are pretty much day in, day out, same old, same old. I'd love to win that bundle!

I've been having lots of fun with my 1 yr old Granddaughter who lives with us temporarily along with her parents. She's at such a fun age now. I'm working on getting her hooked on fabrics too. She has a little purse which she's been stuffing with her own little fabric stash. It's adorable because she brings her little purse into my sewing room and 'sneaks' little pieces of fabrics laying around and then stuffs them into her purse. LOL

I am finishing up costume for Dragoncon- a fan convention in Atlanta over Labor Day weekend. I hope to see George Takei and William Shatner there. I took a leather tool pouch from Lowes and turned it into a Steampunk sewing pouch to go with my Victorian jacket pieced out of 3x4 inch piece for kimono silks.
