Most of the quilts I make are folk art and applique or basic piecing, but I love the look of Medallion quilts. This is the year that I plan on learning more about machine quilting and doing more complex quilts.

I have never made a medallion quilt. It is always on my list of things to do but I am somewhat intimidated by the process.

I made one once, and used it in a round robin. It's my very favorite - unfortunately, it went through Hurricane Katrina and is very heavily damaged. I keep it for nostalgia... I LOVE medallion quilts!

I have made some medallion quilts and some I would call "almost medallion" where I have one large featured block that might be applique or intricate piecing and then I surround it with less complicated blocks.

I've purchased a quilt kit (my first ever) for a medallion, but can't start on it until I finish my current WIPs (those are the rules). :)

I made one once, unintentionally, lol!! I made a wall hanging for brother & SIL but when I saw where they wanted to hang it, the little wallhanging became the center of a much larger quilt. Thanks for a chance to win some of Dawn's fabrics!! She does such great work!!
