Today our featured fabric is Heart Strings by Marie Cole. The pretty pinks and reds are so warm and happy! You can see the line up close on our website here. Marie hails from Utah and has published numerous instruction books as well. We will feature another adorable line from her this week as well!

That's a hard one as I love to use both. Dots for piecing and stripes - just love to use for binding.

That's a hard choice. I love striped bindings and I think dots in quilts are fun! I have a quilt planned for 2014 that is all dots and solids. Maybe it should have a striped binding?

Dots are great when they are random in placement and in size. Dots that are lined up like soldiers do not intrigue me at all. I like stripes for binding are for borders, but not both in the same quilt. -- soparkaveataoldotcom

Gosh, I can not decide which I prefer :} I love stripes for bindings, or borders placed on an angle to create movement. Dots make the eye rest to see the dot. I'm throwing my hands up for indecision-moi!

I'm in love with both dots and stripes! Stripes have to be made into bias binding, absolutely have to. Dots are just too fun to have to do without. Love this fabric group, especially the "word" prints.
