A few weeks back we had the privilege of interviewing Henry Glass & Co. Designer, Gail Pan. Scroll down to learn more about Gail and hear about her latest collection.
About Gail
I live with my husband and 2 of my 3 boys (all now in
their 20's) in Upper Ferntree Gully, just outside Melbourne, Australia. I grew up in Ferntree Gully, (so I haven't moved far!)
with my parents and 3 siblings. My Mum was a dressmaker so I was always playing and
sewing with scraps of fabric, as well as trying crafts such as macrame, paper
crafts, and knitting. I used to make Barbie clothes on my little Singer
sewing machine. I am also an avid reader and collect books just as
much as I collect fabric! I also like to walk, and often am inspired by the
scenery around me for both fabric and embroidery designs.
Designer Background and Inspiration
I started designing fabric in 2013 (with Red Rooster Fabrics) and joined HG in late 2017. Mostly I take them from my embroidery designs or a particular idea that I have but haven't released as embroidery.
Interesting Facts
My favorite colour is blue. my favourite food is
chocolate, (trying to fix that), I also am a keen follower of Australian Rules
Football, it's an exciting game! My favorite band is The Killers. I love traveling and really enjoy combining
teaching with my travels
