Do you remember this collection? We recently had an interview with Mary Jane Carey, the designer behind Peaceful Garden on our Designer Spotlight series.
This collection, Peaceful Garden, has been the inspiration fabric for more than one wedding coming up this spring and summer that we know of! It's mostly due to the romance that can be seen in the perfect bouquets and budding blooms. See the whole collection here.
This collection just shipped last month and you can find it in quilt shops now. Who will be the lucky one to win this bundle?
Let's Get Quilting - Peaceful Garden 10 pc bundle by designer Mary Jane Carey of Holly Hill Quilt Designs
I found a single fabric many years ago that was small pink roses with silver trim. They said wedding cake to me over and over. So much so that after buying 1/2 yard, I went back to the store and bought 2 more yards so I knew i would have enough when the time came to use it. I finally used it for the trim of a flower girl's dress and it turned out so sweet. I have just a bit of it left and will probably use it as a anniversary gift of some sort for the couple.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty line of fabric! thank you!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been sewing for any weddings lately, but some fabric lines do look romantic.

ReplyDeleteI've never been inspired to use a fabric for a wedding, although I've seen fabric that was so perfect for a particular bride that it "had" to be made into a quilt for the bride and groom, usually delivered long after the wedding, I'm sad to say.

ReplyDeleteSeveral years ago I sewed 3 flower girl dresses. Th fabric that was provided didn't look very weddingish to me, but the dresses came out nice. I've never seen a bolt of fabric that clearly looked like it belonged in a wedding, but maybe that's just because of the stock available at the quilt shops I patronize. -- soparkaveataoldotcom
