  3. Oh how pretty! I see Jean has commented (first comment). She would do well with these lovely batiks, with one of her lovely quilts (maybe orange peal style).

  4. No I haven't, but some collections just beg to be made into certain patterns.

  5. No, at least not a quilting fabric collection. It takes a while for me to be inspired by fabric; mostly I love looking at it and hate to cut it too soon.

  6. Not for a wedding, but I have been inspired to make other things with a fabric collection.

  7. Not for a wedding but have had that inspiration hit for baby quilts. Thanks for the beautiful fabric giveaway.

  8. For my sons wedding I made him a civil war quilt with civil war fabrics. I was going to use two fabric collections but I wound up using a bunch of different collections to give it the normal scrappy civil war look.

  9. I have! When Forever Yours by Robyn Pandolph was first out, it was exactly what I needed to make the chair and table coverings for a friend's garden wedding. She fell in love with the fabric and after the wedding I made a bed quilt for the couple. They still use and have the quilt and the fabric line's name was even used in their personalized vows. :-)

  10. No wedding inspirations from fabric collections, but I sure do get inspired for baby and toddler quilts with your fabrics! That's usually the next step for quilt making after the wedding, teehee.

  11. I haven't been inspired for a wedding with a bundle of fabrics but maybe I haven't just seen the right bundle yet!

  12. Love these red fabrics. I've often seen a collection and "knew" exactly what I had to make with it. Have not really had a wedding quilt to make so perhaps that thought has not been in my mind.

  13. Not necessarily for a wedding quilt but maybe a particular pattern. These are stunning colors. Thanks for the giveaway. grinnie1961 at gmail dot com

  16. I think if it were my own wedding, I would be inspired by Peaceful Meadow. The colors are so soft and pretty. Love the reds for something else, though!

  18. I have to confess I have not, but I have seen many of your fabrics that it could be a definite possibility. Like the Peaceful Garden line by Mary Jane Carey.

  19. I love batiks and many of them would be perfect for accents. I tried to sew my wedding gown and it was a disaster. I was only 19 and thought I could sew anything, lol. :)

  49. I saw a Hawaiian print once that I thought would be perfect for a beach wedding. I don't think the weddings today are like they were when I got married. The roses, etc are out.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I haven't seen any fabric that inspired me for a wedding. I am probably too old fashion to think of using any fabric in a quilt store for a wedding unless it was a wedding quilt.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I have not had to deal with weddings in a while! I have have seen collections that inspired me to decorate a room

    ReplyDelete
  52. Although I have made many quilts as wedding gifts, I haven't really thought about colors and fabrics to use in a wedding. When I make a wedding quilt I check out the wedding registry and find colors that will work with the new couple's decor so the quilt will be something they can use.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I saw a beautiful rose colored brocade fabric woven with gold thread that was simply gorgeous. I bought some and had a suit made from it to wear to my brother's wedding. I walked in place of my mother for his wedding. It was a dress and night to remember.
