Day One: Heart Strings Giveaway


The Henry Glass team is off to Houston for International Quilt Market so those of us left behind thought we'd have a bit of fun. By the way, if you are in Houston, drop by our booth #426. There will be demos and giveaways there too.

We raided the cabinets and put together a giveaway! You will have three chances to win here on the blog. In addition, you can play along on Facebook because we will be giving away three bundles on Facebook. You can enter both!


Today our featured fabric is Heart Strings by Marie Cole. The pretty pinks and reds are so warm and happy! You can see the line up close on our website here. Marie hails from Utah and has published numerous instruction books as well. We will feature another adorable line from her this week as well!

    That's a hard one as I love to use both. Dots for piecing and stripes - just love to use for binding.

    I love them both - I love to use dots in the body of the quilt, but a striped binding, all I can say is WOW, I love them.

    I find that working with dots is easier but putting stripes in binding sounds cool.

    How can I choose...stripes or dots? Love them both! I tend to buy more stripes especially for bindings! Love your giveaway...thank you for the opportunity to win the fabric!

    That's a hard choice. I love striped bindings and I think dots in quilts are fun! I have a quilt planned for 2014 that is all dots and solids. Maybe it should have a striped binding?

    Love those dots! Stripes are so hard for me to work with. I keep trying to make them perfectly straight in my piecing. :)

    Hi! I'm just dotty over dots! I try to include some in every quilt or wall hanging. And stripes cut on the diagonal for borders make me swoon.

    Dots are great when they are random in placement and in size. Dots that are lined up like soldiers do not intrigue me at all. I like stripes for binding are for borders, but not both in the same quilt. -- soparkaveataoldotcom

    Gosh, I can not decide which I prefer :} I love stripes for bindings, or borders placed on an angle to create movement. Dots make the eye rest to see the dot. I'm throwing my hands up for indecision-moi!

    I'm in love with both dots and stripes! Stripes have to be made into bias binding, absolutely have to. Dots are just too fun to have to do without. Love this fabric group, especially the "word" prints.
