    Hmmm, “he’s making a list and checking it twice”. Hmmm, I have a sleigh load of things to do before Christmas and the grandkids get here.

    The Christmas tree is up, and the kids will put the angel on the top. Check. They like to put candy canes on the tree and usually eat more than they put up. The tree skirt that they made me last year is under the tree. Check. There are a few presents under the tree, but Santa Claus will bring the rest. We are so lucky that the grandkids still believe that Santa comes down the chimney.

    I have made a Holly wreath with Pointsetia berries, and hung it on the front door. Check

    The North Pole village and reindeer, including Rudolph, are set on the piano. Check. Now I just need to set all of our Christmas Cards in the village as well.

    We all have our trends and traditions and we will gather around the piano on to sing Christmas Carols We particularly like “The First Noel” and “Joy to the World” Check.

    Each year, on December 1, we fill our days with Trends and Traditions of Christmas present and past. Candy cane, Christmas Trees and an Angel come out of hiding. A fresh Wreath, Holly and Poinsettia are purchased. The house is full of Presents, wishes of Noel, and the Joy of our favorite Christmas Carol. Stories of Santa Claus, with plenty of HoHoHO, Rudolph, and the North Pole are told to grandkids who still Believe, while Grandma stitches a a new Stocking and Tree Skirt for the newest grandbaby to save. Christmas means family love!

    Hi everyone. My name is Rudolph and today I’m going to tell you about some of the trends and traditions we enjoy here at the North Pole. Of course we start decorating the Christmas trees the day after Thanksgiving. Santa Claus likes to hang candy canes all over the tree. Mrs. Claus likes to make garlands of holly. She hangs the wreath on the door and lines the foyer with poinsettias. After the decorating is finished we love to sing Christmas carols and “Joy to the World” is one of our favorites. No wait, “Noel” is our favorite! Oh, we can’t decide. We love them all!

    We have to celebrate our own Christmas just before we start our trip around the world on Dec. 24th. Even though we try to sleep it is difficult to do because we are so excited. And with all the “Ho, Ho, Ho ing” from Santa as he places the presents on the the tree skirt, well, it’s just not an easy thing to do. So instead, we sneak outside and make snow angels.

    It’s cold up here in the North Pole, and we have a lot of work to do this time of year, but it is worth it all be cause we do believe in the magic of Christmas!

    This week has been GREAT thanks to you and your wonderful designers.
    In keeping with holiday TRENDS AND TRADITIONS we have sang CHRISTMAS CAROLs as we decorated our CHRISTMAS TREES and placed the ANGEL on top. We've stitched and placed our TREE SKIRT around the tree and hung our welcome WREATH on the front door with POINSETTIAs gracing the stoop. We have CANDY CANEs as a welcome in our entry way and BELIEVE that SANTA CLAUS will feel welcome after his journey from the NORTH POLE with RUDOLPH leading the sleigh filled with PRESENTs. We will have mistletoe and HOLLY hanging from the archway as we sing The First NOEL and celebrate with JOY. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

    I couldn't resist -- sorry in advance:
    If you BELIEVE, SANTA CLAUSE and RUDOLPH are coming from the NORTH POLE with all the TRENDS AND TRADITIONS of the season! While he is singing CHRISTMAS CAROLs and belting out HO HO HO, he is decorating each of our CHRISTMAS TREES with a TREE SKIRT, topping each with an ANGEL and putting some HOLLY and a few CANDY CANEs here and there. There may even be a PRESENT under the tree to bring us JOY. He has a WREATH for the door and a POINSETTIA for the hearth. And as Santa Clause leaves, he wishes each of us a most joyous NOEL!
    I warned you! Anyway, Thanks so much for the fun hop and for sharing all the Henry Glass designers, their projects and their traditions. I have enjoyed it all. Merry Christmas to each of you!

    Looks to me that you still have a glitch on the system because we can see all the posts.
    Over the years I have seen many TRENDS & TRADITIONS in celebrating the holidays. From decorating CHRISTMAS TREES with CANDY CANES with the ANGEL proudly displayed on top and the PRESENTS hiding the TREE SKIRT. Children were excited to BELIEVE that SANTA CLAUS and RUDOLPH were making their trip from the NORTH POLE waiting to hear his HO HO HO. The smell and displays of POINSETTA'S and fresh WREATHS were always a sure sign of Christmas and the first CHRISTMAS CAROL you heard on the radio. NOEL to you and your family. Wishing you JOY, health and happiness in the New Year.
