Monday! It is sadly not a holiday. Did you miss us last week? Yes, we took Memorial Day off. It is good to take a day in remembrance of our military. Three cheers for our troops!
We have something SUPER special in store for the giveaway this week. Up for this weeks contest is a few fabrics from the collection called
A Prairie Journal by Martha Walker of Wagons West Designs.
I like both types of quilts, but more of my quilts fall into the traditional category.
ReplyDeleteGreat colors and designs.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the traditional patterns and prints.

If I like how it looks I don't think it needs to be defined or labeled.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm more of a traditional quilter, although there are some modern designs that intrigue me. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI definitely prefer traditional quilts and like to make them. I was just part of a qal that featured blocks that I later found in a book published in 1949. I love some of the blocks and will be looking up their history. However, I do like whimsical fabric as well as those that are classy and pretty.
ReplyDeleteI consider myself a traditional quilter but I love trying new things in quilting too!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely fabrics. Thanks for the chance to win:)
ReplyDeleteLove it...
ReplyDeleteI am probably a mix of traditional and modern. This is a gorgeous bundle. Thank you for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteEven after all these years of quilting, I am still drawn to the traditional. I enjoy looking at the "modern" quilts but I think my heart will always be with the warmer fabrics of days gone by. Love Love Love these fabrics. Thanks for the contest!
ReplyDeleteI like traditional quilt designs the best but I change them up a bit adding my own special touches. Love the rich colors in that bundle.
ReplyDeleteThink I am more of a "Blend" of Traditional/Modern...kinda like a "Heinz 57" mix! lol I love old patterns...but do like changing them up a bit here & there!
ReplyDeleteThank you for chance to win your Give-a-way too! :D
I'm a crossover quilter! I love the traditional quilts, yet I am being more and more drawn to the modern bright colours and lots of negative space for FMQ and simplistic designs. Not totally sold on just solids though...although I have always loved Amish quilts! I also love intricate quilts like Mariner's Compass and Marsha McCloskey's Feathered Stars! I'm a conundrum huh?!
ReplyDeleteTraditional but with a modern context ~ mostly :)

I am more of a traditional quilter but have been enjoying looking at modern designs. I'd like to try some of them.
ReplyDeleteI like traditional quilts. I haven't tried to make a modern quilt, but some I've seen are based on traditional patterns.
ReplyDeleteI am more of a simple traditionalist primitive style, warm earthy colors, lots of applique type of quilter. So hard to put into just one category. I like the new fabrics, hope that a shop near me carries this line.
ReplyDeleteOooh! This collection is beautiful!!! Love the colours and especially the print with birds!!
ReplyDeleteI checked out her new fabric line and find it very appealing, thank you for the pattern .
ReplyDeleteI'm more of a traditional quilter. But I'm liking all the new applique variations coming around right now too. I throw a little primitive in there too.
Love these prints! Thanks Denise Essex Mitchell
ReplyDeleteLove these Fabrics !!!

I would call myself a traditional quilter but once in awhile I like to make something that is alittle different from the norm. Most of the time i like to piece my blocks, but sometimes I enjoy adding some applique to myquilts.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a traditionalist!!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely fabric! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI am not a modern quilter but so like a lot of the modern fabrics. I would be in the middle I guess.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope I win!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a traditional quilter. I do like to work with vintage and traditional patterns.

I am more of a traditional quilter
ReplyDeleteI am both. I have recently (about two years now) started dabbling into the fresh modern look, but if the fabric is just right, I seem to go back to doing a traditional one.
ReplyDeleteI'm a combination of traditional & modern when it comes to quilting. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI am more of a traditional quilter but I do like to step out of the box onc in awhile. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI feel I am a traditionalist quilter

I love the look of traditional quilts and enjoy making them. To me, they speak of history, love, warmth and family!
ReplyDeleteI am a traditional quilter. Love the look of reproduction fabrics and classic blocks.
ReplyDeleteI definitely have a modern slant to my quilting. I love bright colors and improv blocks and wavy, wacky lines. I love the creative side of all of it!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely a traditional quilter. I have seen some modern quilts that I like, but they just aren't me. Thanks for the giveaway. I love that fabric!
ReplyDeleteFun collection. I actually prefer traditional blocks and quilting, but use lots of batiks which I think is more modern. I don't think I'm in either camp, but a combo of both. I'm actually in a challenge this month to do something modern. I need to be flexible!
ReplyDeleteI am a newbie, so I am trying it all. :)
ReplyDeletecraftyccain@gmail.com
I am both Modern and Traditional, depends on my mood. I like both.
ReplyDeleteI consider myself as quilting with more of a modern slant than traditional and more eclectic than modern. So perhaps no set category for me.

Probably I am more of a traditional quilter. But I just do what I love and do not really think about it.
ReplyDeleteI think I am somewhere in the middle. My home--and my design preference--will never be the sleek, clean aesthetic that I associate with modern designs, so in that way I am much more comfortable with the traditional look. But I appreciate the use of space in quilting and the interesting way older patterns can be enlarged or featured in new or unusual ways in modern quilts. So, I guess this is a wishy-washy answer. Is there a box to check for "a little bit of both"?
ReplyDeleteI enjoy experimenting, using modern fabrics with traditional patterns and vice versa 😊
ReplyDeleteI would say I veer more towards the modern. Gorgeous bundle, thanks for the chance x
ReplyDeleteIain.ross30 at gmail dot com
I for sure am a traditonal quilter!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm more of a traditional quilter, though I do love some of the modern quilts that others make. I just don't seem to make the modern ones!! I also LOVE this new fabric line: such rich colors!!
ReplyDeleteI don't want to be put in a certain category as a quilter. I like many different things!
ReplyDeleteI would say I'm a modern type quilter.
ReplyDeleteI can't say that I'm in any particular category. When I see something I like I go for it! Thanks for the chance to win ;)

I've been quilting for many years and started with traditional quilting and seem to stick with it. Though it is fun to use some of the modern print fabrics in traditional quilt patterns just to shake things up.
ReplyDeleteI more traditional when it comes to making a quilt
ReplyDeletetraditional quilter, But i am sticking my scissors into some modern quilting..Still up in the air about the modern movement... happyness04431@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI am mostly a Traditionalist, but I do tend to lean towards Modern at times. It just depends on what catches my fancy at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI think I am becoming more of a modern quilter, with a bit of traditional thrown in! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the traditional style of quilting.
ReplyDeletemodern with a slant - but not too modern
ReplyDeleteI don't like a label. It's whatever I feel like making at the moment.
ReplyDeleteANOTHER NEAT FABRIC BUNDLE>THANK YOU SO MUCH!
ReplyDeletemsstitcher1214@gmail.com
Some where between modern and traditional.
ReplyDeleteI would say that I am a traditional quilter with an open mind. Thanks!
ReplyDeletePlease click on the delaineelliott above for my email link.
I am definitely more modern. I love the clean and simple lines of the modern quilt movement, but I also like to take traditional designs and modernize them somehow, with fabric or layout or little changes. cotten.gloria@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI am a more modern quilter but I like to combine it with some old fashioned fabrics!
ReplyDeleteLove these fabrics! I'm definitely a traditional quilter (with a little bit of modern tendencies--lol!).
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say I'm more of a traditional quilter and I love this collection! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeletei am a tradational quilter who is crossing the line over to more modern style.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm a very traditional quilter but I love the modern fabrics along with the reproductions. It's all wonderful to work with.
ReplyDeleteCan I be a modern traditionalist? I use traditional blocks but modern fabric. I create my own style of quilt but I am not comfortable on the outer fringe of modern. I like pretty quilts. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I fall into any category.

I love the traditional quilts and blocks!
ReplyDeleteTraditional with a modern slant - this is the type I am drawn to. But I am a newbie and have yet to complete my first quilt!
ReplyDeleteI learned as a traditional quilter, but I am certainly leaning towards modern colors and patterns
ReplyDeleteI am more of a traditional quilter at the present time, but I do like some modern quilts. Thank you, peterstankovich@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteI'm more modern!
ReplyDeleteWhat a rich color collection!
ReplyDeleteI and a mix I think. Some of the old patterns are my favorites but I also like to do some of the newer things!
ReplyDeleteI think I am a good mixture of both! Some of my favorites are the older patterns but I do a lot of the newer patterns too!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute fabric line!
ReplyDeleteI'm a beginner but tend to like vintage/traditional with a modern pop, whether with fabric or just a design twist.
