  1. My husband is well aware, but my stash would rival the price of my sewing machine collection. Enough said on that.

  2. I have no idea what my stash is worth, maybe $3000. I'm not married but if I was my husband hopefully would have no idea what it was worth.

  3. My stash is worth about $1500, for a rough estimate. My husband knows what I pay for fabric. He is very supportive and often offers useful advice when I am stuck on a design element.

  7. So much fun! This fabric collection makes me smile!
How much is my stash worth? That depends on how you define worth.
    To me, it is priceless.
Monetary value, a lot of it was given to me by friends, to get me started. A lot was bought at thrift stores, at about $1.00 or less per yard. A little bit was bought at fabric stores to use, as needed. Total real cash expended: less than $100.00.
I have a pretty nice stash, so thankful for good friends and family, for helping me to begin this quilting journey!

  9. Like they say on the Visa commercial -- priceless. I honestly have no idea how much it's worth, but it's a lot. My husband knows the piles are very large, but probably couldn't come up with a dollar amount.

  10. I have a large stash accumulated over 20+ years that is worth upward of $5000, and no my husband doesn't know the value.

  11. My stash is worth at least $1500, but after looking for books on amazon, my book collection is work about $2000 or maybe more. One book they are asking $275 for, and one $320, the last I heard. I have 5 shelves of quilting books.

  13. I have to take a wild guess, but I'm going for a total worth of $1500 for my stash. My husband knows about my fabric stash and realizes that it's my creative hobby!

  14. Funny question! I probably have over $4000 in stash. I recently moved, and not all is unpacked yet. Most was purchased a few years ago. I have some out of print stuff by certain designers, and that's worth more, but most was purchased at a discount. I'm really trying to use more of it. This collection is adorable! I love the prints and colors, and can think of a few quilts I could make.

  20. I'm not sure how much my stash is worth, but I would guess at least $2000. I doubt my husband knows, even though I once told him there were thousands of dollars worth of "stuff" in my sewing room.

  25. I guess around 4-5 thousand dollars - I'm single - so I don't have to hide it from anyone!

  26. My stash estimated worth would be in the mid to upper thousands range. I have a lot of high end and specialty fabrics such as linens, silks, wools, Vlisco prints as well as quality quilting cottons amassed over years of sewing. I make all the decisions for my purchases.

  35. Is this survey a Trick or Treat?
I'm a pretty new quilter, with small stash, so I estimate it's only worth $500. But my husband would have no idea, of course!

  36. Oh My! My stash goes back 40+ years, how do you put a price on that amount? Bits and pieces of clothes I've made, home decor items, quilts, curtains plus "sale goodies" that are a necessity. If Hubby actually realized how much I have he'd make me open my own store! lol! lstangl482 at aol dot com

  40. In all honesty, I don't know. Several thousands at a minimum at original retail, since I have fabrics I bought in college and I am now retired. I even have a piece of fabric from a dress I wore as a small child. And that doesn't count the vintage and antique fabrics I have collected!

  41. I truly have no idea....maybe $10K and yes, he sees it everyday and knows it is out of control!

  43. My stash is huge and worth thousands-and I added to it today with a fabric store purchase of $67.00 for some solids. My husband knows I have a lot of fabric but what it's worth-he doesn't have a clue!

  46. Yes my husband is very aware of all my stash. With what I have bought over the years it is probably around $300 at least. But I have so much more that has been given to me. Tough estimate here.
