Let's Get Quilting - July 6, 2015 Edition
We hope that you had a great weekend. June's Desire To Inspire challenger will be presented tomorrow because we didn't want her beautiful project to be lost in the holiday week.

This week we are are giving away a bundle of Jan Shade Beach's Holiday Magic. This should get you into holiday sewing! We know that it is going to be 90 degrees around NYC this week. ReplyDeleteI spent the holiday picking plums and working on cutting branch of a plum tree that had cracked because it was so over weighted with plums this year.

ReplyDeleteWe picked my daughter and grandson from the Atlanta airport. We live in Atlanta and they live in Tucson. It was wonderful to have them start their visit on the 4th. They watched fireworks from the plane!

ReplyDeleteWent to the fireworks on Saturday night in our 1960 MGA. They were beautiful and it was so much fun to sit in the car with the top down and look up and watch the spectacular presentation.

Sorry forgot to post what I did for the weekend when I commented on the great fabric. What I did for the weekend was some gardening, some backyard clean-up projects, but need to do more that way. On the 4th of July sat on the back porch and watched fireworks going off all around us.

ReplyDeleteOur holiday weekend events included heading down by the Mississippi River to see the city's fireworks display over the river. Before that, we grilled out in the park and played some volleyball. We made some new friends too! Fun times.

ReplyDeleteI went to Eurika Springs with my husband for our 29 Wedding Anniversary! We had a 3 day weekend enjoying antique shops, 1 fabric shop, & a train ride lunch!
I joined friends who roasted a whole pig! This was my first pig roast. Friends, great food and drink, followed by fireworks. Such fun!

ReplyDeleteOver the holiday, I stayed away from crowds, watched the fireworks on TV, and quilted all weekend! On the 4th, I attended a backyard bonfire and made smores with my grandchild. Next day, did more sewing! Love to have more fabric to use and love to use them on the free applique pattern that I just downloaded too!

ReplyDeleteI went to a Native American Pow Wow on the 4th w/my son and some friends. On the 5th, I went and got a lot of flowers to plant and spent time w/my parents. On the 6th, my family and my parents went to the beach and went kayaking. So a Fun filled Weekend.

ReplyDeleteI worked on the quilt I'm making for my nephew who is getting married on July 18. I call it the Oregon Quilt because it has wild geese trees in 4 sizes, some appliqued Oregon wild flowers, Oregon Grape, birds fish, tadpoles, dragon flies and other wild animals along with pieced deer, a coyote and a bear. I finally got the top done and started quilting it today!
