Let's Get Quilting - April 20, 2015 Edition


Good Monday morning! It's gloomy kind of day here in NYC. We thought that we would brighten up today with a colorful giveaway.     I work with every color under the rainbow. My favorite color is orange so when I do a bargello type it was orange - go figure!

    I am surprised that you are asking if we are expecting snow... Especially Since it is April 20th!!! But where I live in Canada we are expecting 10 cm tomorrow!!!

    My favorite color depends on the quilt I am planning to make. I love, love, love reds but turquoise and yellows and peaches are topping that list as well.

    I'm so into anything purple. It's kind of a hard color to find so I usually go red or blue! Actually, I love every color! It's so hard to choose!

    I like lots of colors, but lately I seem to include aqua in most of my quilts. Bright, clear colors are my favorites.

    The color I tend to have the most of in terms of fabric seems to be red. I think that's mostly because it's so multi-seasonal. It can be springy, summery, fallish, and most certainly fits into winter/holiday quilts most of all!

    I do a lot of applique so green is my first choice for stems, then red, pink, yellow/gold for flowers.

    I am drawn to reds especially dark red, and I love blues too. Depends of course what I am making - childs quilt, baby quilt, wedding quilt, etc.
