ReplyDeleteWell, my favorite vacation was probably when I was a little girl, around the age of 5. I only remember that we went to the Black Hills of South Dakota, Mount Rushmore to be specific. We were a family of six children and my father was a self-employed carpenter. We didn't have money, but we were able to rent a pop-up tent type camper. The girls all slept in the camper and the boys slept in the car. I specifically remember all of the little flowing streams of water along the roadside. For whatever reason I loved those streams. We did finally stop at one and Dad let us go walk in the water. Lots of fun. To this day I still like to see that type of stream along a roadside. The other thing I remember is the 6 of us all setting along the tail of a dinosaur at some reptile park. The only family picture from that day/time period. I've had other vacations since then with my own family, but this one is the one I think about first.
ReplyDeleteWe took a trip to Yellowstone a couple of years ago-beautiful area.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Peggy
