GIVEAWAY CLOSED.
Thanks for all of the love that you gave us yesterday! We loved reading all of the comments and it is fun for us to read about your likes and dislikes. The wide range and sometimes polar opposite opinions amazed us. For example, some loved lime green whereas others were not so keen on it. We are sure that today's answers will provide an equally interesting read.
Today's featured fabric to give away is the ... and Sew On Line. Dress forms, scissors, and sewing machines are some of the adorable elements in this collection for sewing enthusiasts.
Here's a sampling of the prints in this fun collection. The rest of the line is featured on the Henry Glass website here and the free project downloads accompanying the line are fun.
Yesterday it was about color. Today, we'd like to know what sort of prints you like. Chevrons, flowers and woodland critters like owls have been very popular in the past few years. What sort of prints would you like to see more of? Which prints would you like to see less of? Graphics, textures and plaids? Kids novelty? Seasonal collections like Christmas?
Remember, there is no right or wrong answer. Just leave your answer here on the blog or on Facebook. We will select a winner of the bundle of fabric. [Selection is random and the fabric is our choice.] Giveaway ends Sunday, February 16th at midnight.
Good luck!

ReplyDeleteI like a variety of prints, but it depends on the print. For example, I love some florals and dislike others.
ReplyDeleteGenerally I like geomentric and graphic prints, especially dots.
I love Christmas prints, but prefer them to be in traditional colors.
I find texture type prints to be really useful.
I love polka dots, especially the random kind. I like diagonal stripes (great for bindings), small & medium flower prints. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI love seasonal prints so keep them coming. I use florals often, love plaids and dots, and dislike stripes. So I would like to see fewer stripes.
ReplyDeleteI love a modern floral print and I'm also really into botanicals right now.
ReplyDeleteI like bias stripes, small color and white stripes, and textured solids.
ReplyDeleteLately I like mostly modern prints. Especially nature inspired prints like leaves, trees, and birds. I like geometrics, and I love dots and swirls! And some novelty prints. I'm also a sucker for children's prints, particularly those with cute animals. Although I love plenty of designs that are directional, I find that scatter prints are easier to use. I don't have any interest in civil war prints or 30's prints or anything too frilly.
ReplyDeleteI love items of nature... Birds, owls, trees, leaves, but with coordinating dimensional or geometric prints . I'm a little partial to Cardinals ;) Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeletehttp://karensquiltscrowscardinals.blogspot.com/
I love geometrics, plaids and winter prints, not Christmas but winter. I'd like to see more of those and less of prints that all run together and make it hard to see what prints are in the pattern.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful fabric! I would like to see some beautiful medium sized flower prints.
ReplyDeleteI love texture, chevrons, plaids, but I have a hard time using plaids.
ReplyDeleteI would love more text prints, stash building fabric like prints that read solid but have the texture look and modern geometries. Mrscwatson81(at)hotmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI'd love fabrics that are tossed, a pattern that is ok in any direction. Or packed that has lots of a design packed into the area. I'm usually not fond of pots and pans or cups and saucers. Beats me why I don't mind forks and knives and spoons though lol. I so DISLIKE chevrons, even before they became popular. Poor Charlie Brown thinks everyone is wearing his shirts.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see more fabric with libraries, books, children reading. I'm not so fond of chevrons even though they are hugely popular. Thanks for this fun giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would love more polka dots and asymmetrical geometric prints. Also, I think its time for the paisley to make a new updated, modern return!
ReplyDeleteA combination of prints some with florals and others with stripes where the stripe can enhance a quilt design - I really don't prefer the gold laced shiny prints and seems like much of the striped fabrics have it
ReplyDeleteI love wildlife prints, deer, fox, raccoons, birds are my favorite, butterflies, how about ground hogs :) Let me say I could never get enough Christmas prints, but especially like the vintage look. Also how about Vintage kitchen..woot woot.
ReplyDeleteI love teeny flowers, polka dots, and novelty fabrics. I am not keen on loud graphic patterns in clashing colours. Thanks for the chance!!
ReplyDeleteWould love to see more Vintage styles. Also similar to barkcloth prints. Make it vintage, make me happy. :)
ReplyDeleteI live a variety of prints but prefer them on the small to medium size. Florals, geo's, dots, graphics, stripes, text.
ReplyDeleteVintage reprints of any style!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see birds. I love geometrics, dots and prints that can act as solids.
ReplyDeleteLove all things yellow, orange, and red except large polka dots. Good rust shades, browns, and tans are also helpful.
ReplyDeleteDo not like any plaids at all.
I also like deep greens and blues, though I have no personal use for them.
I say stripes and dots. You never have enough of either.
ReplyDeleteI cannot get enough dots...big dots, small dots, whatever!
ReplyDeleteI love flowers. I also love polka dots and stripes. I think they all go together. Flowers are really starting to come back in I think. I love this print to. There is no right or wrong fabric always a design for each fabric,
ReplyDeleteI love stripes--especially for sashings, inner borders and binding--so fun!!
ReplyDeleteLinda Lum DeBono made a pattern for a babushka doll ornament. I'd like to see her make fabric from this pattern with different babushka dolls all over it and neutrals to go with it.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I am really into textures lately, so I'd like to see more textures.
I would love to see more kitchen type prints. I also would love more snowmen prints for Christmas/winter
ReplyDeleteI would like to see more graphic or geometric prints . I don't see fabric that I would say I would want to see less of.
ReplyDeleteI like kids novelty prints and for Christmas fabric more traditional colors.
Textures that can be used for fur, geometrics, and non-directional graphics please.
ReplyDeleteI am currently in the "Modern" quilt stage, so I love the textures, graphics, etc., but most importantly, I love bright colors - if florals are a must, let them be graphic and saturated
ReplyDeleteI love geometric and text prints!
ReplyDeleteI like dots, small florals and strips. Not loving chevrons.
ReplyDeleteI love small prints, reflective of years gone by, with lots of blacks, blues, reds, and creams.
ReplyDeleteShould the pattern by paisley I am in love! Floral fabric always catches my eye and I am beyond fond of novelty prints with cats or owls.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see more small whimsical novelty prints with a light background, nothing directional tho. Fabric with writing on it in English, children dressed in native clothing, chickens, sewing notions, computers/computer parts/computer verbage for the computer geeks in our lives. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this collection. I adore floral prints and coordinates. There are times, though, for novelty and others. I tend not to use stripes often, unless I know they will work with the design, or use them in binding. Otherwise, they make me dizzy. Tired of owls, but I know others who adore them. I'm just glad there is a variety to please everyone.
ReplyDeleteI love the sewing theme prints that you are featuring today! I also like texts, fairies, birds, flowers, and leaves. I have less interest in abstract graphics and holiday prints. Thanks for the fun!
ReplyDeleteMore nature/bird prints in a smaller scale.. and I always need dots and stripes! Less of the non-traditional Christmas and holiday prints. ~they are too trendy. Thanks for the fun!
ReplyDeleteI am always on the lookout for great Christmas fabrics but there was not a lot of selection this past year.
ReplyDeletei love all fabric except woodgrain
ReplyDeleteI love fabrics with text on them...like letters, sayings/quotes or just like script letters and sewing theme fabric. Also love red white and black on quilts. crystalbluern at onlineok dot com
ReplyDeleteI'm very new but I started out loving the bright whimsical fabric in bright colors of the rainbow. Prints or solids are great, but prints definitely are best. Now I seem to be crushing on soft flowers in light pinks and blues. I tend to steer clear of depressing fabric that is too dark or not a lot of color. The black white and red combo is electric and I love the dressforms! I do have to say that what I call depressing in fabric colors, I've seen successfully used in some beautiful samplers, and I may even make one! Thanks

VW's cars or vans!
ReplyDeleteI like novelty fabrics about sewing and very shabby chic fabrics. Not keen on geometric or chevrons.
ReplyDeleteI love 30s repros and soft pastel florals. I am not a big fan of the novelty prints, such as mustaches, muscle cars, safari animals etc.
ReplyDeleteThanks for asking! It's nice to share!

Geometrics, small prints and I love seasonal and I don't think there is enough plaid! thanks !
ReplyDeleteI love floral prints-big and small. Leaf prints also catch my eye. Graphic prints, stripes and plaids, too. I am getting tired of all the cutesy collections. I know we need designs for children, but sometimes I feel overwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteLove the florals and nature prints.
ReplyDeleteI love it all! That is why I have sooooo much
ReplyDeletefabric! Thanks!
I love dots (small white or cream on a colored background so it can be used as a companion to the focal prints), I love birds, and light colored textured prints that can be used as backgrounds. Bias stripes are great too, and hard to find. Also, I've been looking for a pinball machine print to make a shirt for my hubby, but can't find it anywhere!! It maybe could be included in a line that had all kinds of male items (cars, trains, pinball machines, antique toys or something along those lines.) Thanks for listening!!! Hugs, H in Healdsburg
ReplyDeleteGraphic, geometric prints, textures and text of all sorts. There are a zillion flower, 30s repro, Civil War and novelty prints and I am bored with them. These questions have been fun - thanks for asking!
ReplyDeletePolka dots are what I'm hooked on lately..
ReplyDeleteDonna
I love all prints and I like to combine them of course with vibrant solids.
ReplyDeleteI love, and would love to see more of, vintage designs (old clock faces, cameras etc) shabby chic and text. Don't care for prints that are too cute that only work for small children.
ReplyDeleteI love floral and birds. Traditional designs are the most to my liking! I am not too fond of some of the more modern prints and patterns. I also love tone on tone prints!
ReplyDeleteI love fabrics with words and I would love to see more plaids , they seem to have disappeared lately .
ReplyDeleteI love stripes to use as binding. Small prints that 'read' as solids are my choice.

ReplyDeleteI'd like to see more paisley. I also usually like a small print with leaves
ReplyDeleteHenry Glass, I love it all. I do need some PUG fabric though....
ReplyDeleteI love that fabric set. I have been hooked on circle, dots and swirly prints for a few years now. Still going strong... especially polka dots!
ReplyDeleteI like the chevron fabrics and other geometric designs. I've always loved paisley and I'm weary of polka dots.
ReplyDeleteLarge flowery prints are not for me, but I love graphics and small prints. :)

ReplyDeleteI like polka dots and diagonal stripes; not a fan of woodland animals. Chevrons and textured solids are great basics, and I like most florals.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see more textures and I always enjoy Christmas prints and novelties.
ReplyDeleteI look for variety when I shop. Not so crazy for chevons, do like bias stripes, love blenders. Especially hoping someone comes through with what I call "ice blue", it is a silvery blue 'almost in motion' color that I have been hunting for years. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for plaids and calicos so I'd love to see a whole line of plaids.
ReplyDeleteI love florals for most quilts. I also love specialty prints with animals to make personalized quilts or garments. Stripes are an accent. Recently I rediscovered solids .... so please ask us again in 6 months :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite prints are flowers, cats, hearts, and butterflies. My least favorite are rigidly lined up polka dots. Randomly spaced and/or sized polka dots are great. -- soparkaveataoldotcom
ReplyDeleteI love smaller floral prints and small overall designs. And I love anything Christmas. Would like to see more of these. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI like clean prints that aren't too busy. One of my favorite prints are polka dots. Thanks sew much for this chance to win!
ReplyDeletetextures are nice and bright clean colours with small prints. Thanks so much for sharing
ReplyDeleteI love textures, chevrons and plaids. I am not sure how to use plaids.
ReplyDeleteI've certainly had enough owls! I'd like to see more botanicals.
ReplyDeleteI love and collect stripes. Florals, botanicals, and textured solids are also favorites of mine.
ReplyDeleteI like brights, dots and stripes. I've had a hard time finding whites/creams for background fabric that have the design woven in the fabric, not stamped on top. I like to applique and it is hard to sew thru fabric with a heavy design stamped on it. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love a variety of prints, especially geometric as long as the colors catch my eye. There are some colors I just cannot work with. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteOh Wow. Love this fabric. I had not seen it before. Not sure what prints I would like to see more of. I am really into stripes and dots lately. Love the looks in a quilt. Thanks for the great giveaway.

ReplyDeleteI love floral prints in delicate pastel colors. Don't like large gaudy florals. Also like small animal prints . Dislike large modern designs.
ReplyDeleteFlowers usually grab my interest right up front but I do like geometric shapes especially when the color palette is limited. Tone on Tone prints in text are also neat.
ReplyDeleteI'm hooked on flowers! All kinds, but I like softer colors the most. I've never been a personal fan of geometrics which is maybe one of the reasons I'm not as fond of modern quilts. Being unique is what makes the world so interesting!
