My sewing/quilting highlight of the year was finishing my first quilt! Followed closely by two more baby quilts. Personally, my first year anniversary was a pretty big highlight, too. :)
The highlight of my year was a cruise through the inside passage of Alaska.
I had so many great highlights this year! (besides all my finishes) I went to DisneyWorld and Disneyland. I survived Hurrican Sandy. Santa went sewing/quilting/fabric shopping for me this year! Yay!

My highlight for 2012 was the birth of my third granddaughter and a trip to Spain and Italy with my daughter, husband, and two granddaughters. Thank you for all of the fun blog hops and for the introductions to your designers. It has been a lot of fun playing along.
My highlight was my 'Garden Fence' quilt which I made for my niece and presented to her at her wedding in April!
I've had such a great year. Making it to my first one year anniversary of being cancer free would be high on my list of greats! And I've been blessed to spend many hours doing one of my favourite things, and that is quilting.
The highlight of 2012 for me is that I got engaged after almost 16 years to the most wonderful man. I wanted to raise my two children before starting the next chapter of my life. The highlight of 2013 will be selling my house and finally being together with my future husband.

I was in a near fatal accident and was life flighted to a trauma unit in another state. I suffered a broken pelvis, broken ribs, collapsed lung, severe c9ncussion (i srill suffer from short term memory loss) and a broken left arm that was paralyzed as a result of the accident. And yes i am left handed. I spent 7 weeks in the trauma unit. My condition was so bad they would not do surgery. Then i was transferred to a physical rehab facility where i stayed for almost two months. They did surgery and put a metal plate from my shoulder to elbow. While there i spent 4 to 6 hours daily in physical therapy. When i came home, i had physical therapist every day. After many painful and frustating hours and by the grace of god, i have gotten some use in my arm so that i can quilt again. My inspiration came from blogs like yours with so many beautiful and inspiring quilts. And others talked about the barbarahardships they endured and i knew then that i was not alone.
Finally learning to paper piece. Spending time with dear friends.
The ultimate...my dear sister moving back the the U.S. after 25 years overseas, oh the memories we will be making since we are living on the same continent. :-)
